Syreeta began interning at the prestigious Wharton School of Business' Small Business Development Center at the age of 16. The Director of Wharton's Small Business Development Center would later mentor her through the process of sourcing funding for a business initiative. Business, particularly entrepreneurship, has always served as a source of passion and motivation.
At age 20, Syreeta left Philadelphia, PA to play her hand at New York City. She studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology and interned at TRACE Magazine and Michael Kors, while working in retail part-time and modeling.
Multi-tasking while tackling large workloads has always been customary for Syreeta. While in New York, she launched her first venture – MosaMuse.com, dedicated to inspiring young women to develop their dreams through fashion, beauty, style, and entrepreneurial inspirations.
About Syreeta Lockett
After graduating college, she was offered an opportunity as a Publicist for a celebrity styling agency that serviced clients which included Rihanna, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige and more. At this point she began to notice the need for structure and strategy behind dream-building as many clients had a desire for success but no clear path towards achievement.
That realization led to the launch of Dream Guider LLC, a project management and consulting agency that specializes in success-driven project management. Dream Guider’s clients include a New York Times Best Selling Author, Musicians, Lawyers, Stylists, Videographers, Tech Star-ups and Financial Coaches.
In 2016, Syreeta Lockett became a Certified Project Manager to better service her clients, and also published a book, Follow The Glitter Brick Road – A Hands-On Guide to Turn Your Dream Into Reality. The book allows readers (specifically young female dreamers) an overview of the steps needed to achieve their dreams, while providing worksheets to personalize their approach.
Syreeta is a fan of fashion, entrepreneurship, economics, and basketball, and she continues to help businesses and entrepreneurs achieve success.
